A new service has been launched to support people who are experiencing and suffering from bereavement and loss. The offer is open to any Shropshire resident who has been bereaved by either a recent death or previous loss.

Ensuring services are advertised to patients and ease of access are two of the core requirements for improving access to general practice. The purpose of this visit was to see if the Practice was meeting the requirements as set out by NHS England

You told us that is was really difficult to book a blood test and were left waiting in a call line queue for a long time while paying to call an 01 number. We contacted the service and explained the problems.

Inpatients at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital are to be allowed a “named visitor” under new rules giving them greater contact with their loved ones.

We engaged with people aged 16-25 via an on-line survey and focus groups to find out what they thought about Social Prescribing and to understand activities they are currently involved with and what the benefits and potential barriers there are.

In 2016 we funded research that evaluated the impacts of energy efficiency improvements on health and well-being across Shropshire. This told us that improvements could significantly impact health and well-being.

During Lockdown we wanted to give people the chance to share their experiences to help the health and social care system understand the impact locally and identify any gaps in information and services they might be able to fill.

As a result of the pandemic many services across health and social care have changed how they are delivered. In order to offer services as safely as possible people have been offered appointments over the phone online by video or using an online form

The way patients use and access General Practices and Pharmacies is changing and we wanted to know how the patient experience has been affected.

Who can get tested? Testing for coronavirus (Covid-19) has been expanded to everyone over the age of five with symptoms.
