The value of listening - Healthwatch Shropshire Annual Report 2023-24
The Annual report sets out how we have listened to people and worked with partners through the year to make a difference.
We have just published our annual report detailing how we have championed the voices of the thousands of Shropshire patients and service users we have heard from over the last year. Including
- Sharing patient experience of diabetic care and their suggestions for improvement with NHS leaders.
- Bringing people's experience of NHS and social care complaints systems to the attention of complaints teams across services to highlight the issues people face when trying to get answers when care has not gone so well.
- Publishing an Easy Read version of our report into the patchy implementation of the NHS
Accessible Information Standard to highlight to those who are most likely to be affected what they should expect from health services.
I am delighted to welcome three new Trustees to our board this year. Their very varied life experiences, and interest in the people of Shropshire and their health and social care needs, offer great scope for Healthwatch Shropshire to develop further.
