Thank You to our Volunteers!
This Volunteers’ Week we’d like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers for their contributions to the work of Healthwatch Shropshire. Simply put, without their input we could not fulfil our functions. At our recent volunteer meeting I gave a presentation demonstrating the impact the work of our volunteers has in terms of the projects we are able to complete and the wealth of different projects and tasks they are involved in. Those who attended the meeting were quite impressed to see the variety of things the volunteer team had been involved and also the time they had contributed – over 1,300 hours in a single year!
In July we will be holding a celebratory lunch for our volunteers and we are all looking forward to seeing them again in person. It has been a very different year for us all; our Enter & View volunteers have been mostly ‘out of action’ since March 20 as the programme has been on hold, but everybody has stuck with us, contributing to online focus groups, web research and other tasks when they were able. We look forward to being able to say thank you in person.
If you would be interested in volunteering for Healthwatch Shropshire please get in touch for more information or call us for an informal chat about the volunteer roles we have available. We’d love to hear from you.
