New Volunteering opportunities

26/06/2017

We have recently launched three new volunteer roles, expanding how individuals can get involved in our work locally.

  • Engagement Support Volunteer

Volunteers will attend stands or events throughout the county listening to and recording people's experiences of using our local services. They will work closely with our Engagement Officer on organising and delivering Healthwatch Shropshire events. This is a great role for a 'people person' who likes the opportunity to talk to a wide range of people.

  • Community Support Volunteer

Volunteers will provide a local link for Healthwatch Shropshire, ensuring that our literature is prominent within their community and keeping us informed of local activities where our presence would be useful (such as a local group meetings). Volunteers will have the opportunity to help develop our marketing materials and get involved with social media. If you are looking for a flexible volunteering role that can be completed close to home, this role could be perfect for you.

  • Healthwatch Volunteer Representative

Volunteers will represent Healthwatch Shropshire and its views at a range of local meetings and forums. Individuals who are interested in feeding directly into discussions about local services would find this a rewarding role- you must be confident about speaking up in meetings and in your ability to remain objective.

We are also looking for individuals based in the North of the county to become Enter & View Authorised Representatives.

To find out more about our available roles visit our Get Involved page, or contact the office today.
